Sirius Aviation AG, headquartered in Baar, Switzerland, has formed a strategic partnership with Marathon Group Australia to revolutionize airport operations across the country. The collaboration aims to introduce zero-emission airports by integrating cutting-edge hydrogen technologies, primarily through the deployment of the Sirius Jet developed in collaboration with Designworks, a BMW Group company.
This partnership will also focus on developing advanced hydrogen storage and refueling systems, including mobile hydrogen transportable liquidation and refueling units. These innovations aim to address the diverse infrastructure needs of the aviation industry and expand the use of hydrogen in various applications.
In addition to deploying the Sirius Jet, the partnership plans to establish zero-emission airports. By leveraging the expertise of both companies and collaborating with global partners, Sirius Aviation and Marathon Group aim to significantly reduce emissions within the aviation sector.
Furthermore, the partnership will integrate hydrogen production with solar and wind energy projects in regional areas, enhancing renewable energy synergies and contributing to Australia’s broader goals of reducing carbon emissions. "This partnership with Sirius Aviation AG advances our mission to drive sustainable energy and pioneer innovations in hydrogen aviation, smart technology, transport ecosystems, and infrastructure," said Brett Singh, CEO of Marathon Group Australia.
To support these advancements, comprehensive training programs will be launched to build expertise in hydrogen technologies. These programs will play a crucial role in fostering ongoing innovation within the aviation industry.
